The Maryland General Assembly convened on Wednesday for its 2019 ninety day run as last year's election resulted in some surprising turnover and new members coming to the Assembly. Taxes, transportation, crime and other issues will be prominent issues of contention. Persistent vigilance is required to thwart misguided legislation including a pro-abortion constitutional amendment, higher taxes, 'sanctuary state', and possibly another attempt at permitting physician assisted suicide.
